孟德卫，美国著名汉学家。出生于1943年，现为贝勒大学历史与亚洲研究教授，《中西文化交流杂志》的创刊者和编辑。主要研究领域为基督教在中国文化中的传播过程和地位，以及儒学在西方的发展和西方早期汉学研究的历程。在国内较有影响的著作有：《神奇的土地：耶稣会士的适应性和早期汉学的起源》、《被遗忘的杭州基督徒》、《灵肉之争中的山东（1650-1785）》，《莱布尼兹和儒学》。
